If you haven't read the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh, then your missing out, All I can say is Lights, Camera, Action, when it comes to this book. This series is revolved around the Archangel Raphael and Guild Hunter Elena who hunts vampires who have strayed. In this setting the Archangels, vampires, and humans coexist, Archangels run the civilizations and make vampires and you are made vampire by submitting an application to become one, they are never made against their will. The series starts out with the Archangel Raphael hiring Elena to track down another Archangel who has possibly gone rogue. Elena is the best of the best in her field, she can find any vampire just by their sent, and now the Archangel Raphael has given her an offer she can't refuse but what she didn't expect was to fall in love with an Archangel or he with her. By no means is this an ordinary romance, its definitely not love at first sight and it is forbidden for an Angel to be with a human. In this series Archangels are the supreme beings, and cannot be defeated by any human or vampire, only of their kind can one be destroyed, if that. Elena has come from a tough childhood that still plays out in her adulthood, everything she is today revolves around her past. Coming from a broken family, she considers her friends her family and her penthouse is her safe haven. Assigned with a task from the Archangel of New York, Elena is petrified, never have meeting an Angel before let alone the superior of the species, she takes the task head on, fearing if she didn't take it, it meant her death, but this was the first anyone had attempted to hunt down an Archangel. During this hunt Raphael and Elena butt heads on more than one occasion, they're both dominants, but with that Elena learns how to be more submissive and Raphael learns to be more patient. Elena is opened up to a whole new world she never knew existed, meeting Angels and Archangels, and not all are friendly, some even deadly. And FYI in this series just because your an Angel doesn't mean your all Godly and nice, some you would think Hell birthed them out. This series is well written, the action scenes leave your mind reeling, and the characters OMG! they are really well developed, even the least important leave an impression. Could you imagine seeing on tv ,crime fighting Vampire hunters and Angels. How cool is that. Elena is the hunter, but it feels like she has become the hunted, always a target, her life is in constant danger, but Elena wouldn't have it any other way. She's broken but strong, and you will see Raphael helping her pick up the pieces. The scenes are to die for, the intricate detail of the location, is as if you were there with them to the emotion of it all. To describe this book, suspenseful and thrilling is an understatement, it will surely knock you off your feet, and when it makes it to the tv screen it will simply blow you away, Its action packed, sexy, and fun, so pick up your copy today, and networks get your production teams ready because this will definitely make it from the pages 2 a big screen.
