Happy New Year!!! Welcome to 2016, my first post of the new year will be Anarchy Found by J.A. Huss. This book is really good, this is my first superhero novel that I have ever read, and yes you guys it’s a novel not a comic. This book is about a detective, Molly Masters investigating a string of suicides at a big corporation in Cathedral City. The book starts out with her going to sell her deceased brother's bikes when a reckless motorcyclist comes speeding out of nowhere crashing on the side of the road, she helps him and obliges to take him home, and once she drops him off, of course her trailer that's hauling the bikes gets stuck in the mud, and not knowing which direction the anonymous guy went she starts hiking up the road and comes across the entrance of a cave, she stumbles through the entrance and finds the stranger she's been looking for, only now she sees things that looks like he could possibly be a criminal and then she panics, not anticipating the sudden arrival, the stranger quickly gets a hold of her and drugs her, and when she wakes up, she wakes up in her apartment with no recollection of what happened.
And this is where we find out who our mysterious guy on the side of the road is, he is Lincoln Wade, genius extraordinaire, rich, successful, and most of all, not known to the public eye. He's also dangerous and your ultimate alpha male. He lives in a cave, how Batmanish of him right LOL!!!! but that's where the similarities end. Our handsome main character is a hero somewhat, but its not as black and white as it seems, he's not your ordinary superhero, and soon you find out that he's connected to all things Molly Masters. Lincoln also has 2 other partners on this road of vengance against evil. I like Lincoln's and Molly's characters dynamic from the beginning, you never knew what you were getting between the two of them ,they started off really rocky and ended up melting your hearts.
There is a lot of mystery surrounding this story, how Lincoln gained his powers, what is his connection to Molly, and so many unanswered questions about the case Molly's working on. Was it really a chance of fate that Lincoln and Molly crossed paths? A lot of questions are answered once you read the book in its entirety but, there are also a lot of questions that need answering. There was a lot of action, suspense, romance, and just the right amount of mystery in this book and that's what makes up any good superhero movie. I feel like more superhero movies should be made that aren't DC and Marvel. Hancock did it, it was a blockbuster hit. This could definitely be a start of a new superhero era. The film industry is constantly changing and looking for new ideas, and I think this is a great start, I guarantee someone will be watching. So please check out this book, you won't be disappointed, especially when it ends up on the big screen.
