So it’s been too long since I’ve written a blog entry, so let me tell you about the Mindf*ck  series by S.T. Abby aka Kristy Cunning aka CM Owens. It has to be the best thriller suspense series I’ve ever read to date. It’s truly a masterpiece and I hope she writes as S.T. Abby again, especially with the teaser at the end of her series. But anyways, let me tell you about this series and why it would make for a great TV show.  If I could compare this series to any show, it would be like Dexter, Revenge, and Criminal Minds having a baby and you have the Mindf*ck series.  Lana is a woman putting on a façade to everyone she meets, the only person she’s real with in her life is her techie best friend. She’s a woman hell bent on vengeance and seeking justice for herself, making past sins right.  She has a horrible moral compass, even though I am 100% behind her actions and the last thing she needs is law enforcement onto her, but that’s exactly what she gets when she starts a romantic relationship with Logan Bennett an FBI profiler. It’s no secret in the book that Lana is a made up identity and that she is a serial killer going after men who’ve wronged her family in the past. Now what has been done to her and how her family died is what remains a mystery. It’s very suspenseful that the same FBI profiler that she is dating is investigating her case, but he has profiled her as being a man, which is just how she wants to be perceived, as she takes extreme measures to be portrayed as such. Please don’t jump to conclusions and think that she starts a relationship with Logan the FBI agent to stay on top of her case to make sure she stays one step  ahead, because she doesn’t. Lana actually genuinely falls for Logan and makes sure she doesn’t get involved in the case in any shape or form. Even though, she knows there relationship can never really be and won’t end well she pursues it anyway, all the while still carrying out her plans to exact her revenge. Lana is a strong, courageous woman that has been dealt a bad hand, and instead of taking it lying down, she makes the best of it the only way she knows how and makes her own luck.

I’m telling you it would be an awesome TV series, because it has all the ingredients to keep an audience interested. It has suspense, romance, mystery, and action. I can just imagine every episode being about a different murder she’s committed and how she got away with it, just barely missing getting exposed with glimpses of her past piecing everything together one by one. I can see the romantic link between Lana and Logan steadily getting steamy and getting to a place of no return. The back and forth of will he find out, and what would he do if he knows the truth. And what about the mystery of the best friend, why is the best friend so willing to help and how is this person connected to her past. I imagine the pilot would be easy to make, it wouldn’t need that big of a budget, unless you have very well known celebrities cast, but I would prefer new actors who would have a name for themselves by the time the first season ends, because the story is so good. I could see this series with a fan base of the likes of Law & Order and Dexter. The settings in the story aren’t too dramatic, as Lana works from home, and has small “business trips” aka kill trips. I could very well see this series either on a cable channel or a premium channel. But I’m not going to lie, I rather see this series on a network like Showtime, so we can see all the gore, get the language, and the sexy times. It’s unique from other shows and novels alike because it portrays a female serial killer who has honed her skills to do what she does, so there’s not too many storylines out there like this. I suggest you check out this amazing series and see why it belongs on TV and get as excited about this novel series as much as me. Get the hype out there so someone in the industry can take notice to this Great Read! Until Next Time…
