Hello my dedicated screeners,
It's been awhile I know…….If you remember I blogged about this particular series about 2 years ago. What series you ask? The Fallen Crest series by Tijan. She just released books 6 & 7 this year, which wraps up this wonderful series, that has left me with a major book hangover. I can truly say that I will miss reading about these characters, Mason, Logan, & Samantha. I loved every single page of each and every one of the 7 books Tijan has produced under this series. I am really hoping that one day that this series will be on TV and that I am lucky enough to produce it. A girl can have dreams right! #GOALS. Let me stop ranting and tell you why this series is as wonderful as I'm making it out to be and why it definitely will be one of the greatest teen shows out there that will trend and be on the level of Dawson's Creek, Vampire Diaries, The OC, Gossip Girl, and Pretty Little Liars.
The story starts out with Samantha Stratton, a 17yr old junior in high school, after a night out with her friends, she comes home to find her mother crying giving her devastating news that their leaving her father and moving in with her mother's new rich boyfriend and his two sons. Samantha, of course is far from thrilled. She realizes that they are moving in with James Kade, a very wealthy and well known businessman. Not only that, but his sons are well known, rich pricks, that happen to be stars of the football team. Their the cream of the crop in there town. Their feared, guys wanna be them, and girls wanna be with them, but their untouchable until Sam comes in and breaks down their walls. To say Sam's mother, Annaliese has issues is an understatement. She's mean, controlling, and has no regard for Sam's well being and that's when Mason and Logan see the pain in Sam is the same kind of pain in them. Their father might be rich, but he's a serial cheater that turned their mother into an alcoholic who eventually left. Sam attends the private shool Fallen Crest Academy since her father is the coach of the football team there, while the boys attend Fallen Crest Public. Sam really goes through it her first year at the Kade's. Not only she had to leave the only home she had ever known, but on top of that her boyfriend of 3 years cheated on her with her best friend and her other best friend was covering it up. She had no one.
Mason and Logan take interest in her and start inviting her to their parties and hanging out. They develop some kind of comradery between the three, which eventually leads into a serious relationship with Mason Kade, and a brother/sister relationship with Logan Kade. Samatha has a new popular status at school because of her association with the Kade brothers, but it doesn't make things better, most girls are jealous and the others try to be her friend because they want to get close to the Kade's. She finds one friend, but then that one turns her back on her too, and that's when she leaves Fallen Crest Academy and attends school with Mason and Logan, and from there on their known as the Fearsome Threesome, a family that can never be torn apart. In this series we see them grow through high school, college, and through adulthood. It's magnificent to read and imagine. These characters become like family to you. You're privy to all their inner dialouge and discussions with each other. There are ups and downs, hospital visits, heartbreak, scheming, vandalism. Name it they've been involved, because their a ride or die trio when it comes to the ones they love. That's why I know when this get's put on television it will get massive ratings. This series made me fall in love with this author's writing and a number of her books. This is one series that I will always remember and from time to time go back and read. Thank you Tijan for writing such a awesome story. Please everyone mark my words that there will come a time that this show will be on TV and I'll be the first one to tell you I was right about it!
I left a cast out purposely. I feel like if there would be a cast for this series, that some unknown actors should have these roles, that would most likely turn them in to superstars, but it doesn't stop me from putting up some eye candy some fans have made for who looks good for the roles of these books.
